Our cardio equipment, as you can see, is state of the art.

MX-H5x-HybridOur hybrid cycle is a unique piece in that it was designed for easy entry and supports proper spinal alignment.  Traditional cycles are one of two types, either recumbent or seated.  The problems that we see with those particular bikes are spinal problems.  When your hips are the same height as your feet, like a recumbent, your lower back must round to push the pedals, causing pain.  Likewise, a traditional seated bike forces you to hunch your shoulders and upper back causing shoulder pain and tension.  Our bike forces the hip to feet angle at 45 degrees, so proper spinal loading is required and the movement involves the legs, not the back.

KeiserThe Functional trainer is truly one of a kind as it allows us to improve your exercises in 3 ways.  First, we are able to adjust the weight in small increments. This allows us to progress you faster and safer than traditional plate loading.  Second, because it has constant tension, it eliminates the forces of gravity, so the faster you move, it still stays smooth.  No jerking or clanging.  Finally, it has a power output screen so we can see that not only do you move a weight, but you also move it with speed.  The most common injuries occur from either moving a heavy weight awkwardly or too fast. The Functional Trainer allows us to prevent both of these problems and train the body functionally so you can make everyday life far easier.

Smith CageOur custom-designed free moving Smith Machine allows us the flexibility to teach you complex movements in a controlled environment, safely.  Sample exercises: squat, row, bench press, shoulder press, anything done with a bar, but with the lateral stability removed so you can learn the proper form without the risk of injury.  The dual cable stacks allow us to be able to overload a weaker muscle and force it to stabilize and balance out with the stronger limb.  The extremely versatile functional movement pattern of the PTS allows the body to move along natural body arcs while adding the safety proper posture and correct form.  The additional cable system allows compensation reduction and asymmetrical correction, thus reducing the risk of injury. For example, let’s say that you have a weaker right arm when performing a chest press.  We will overload the right side of the dual pulley bar and do a press, but the weaker limb will be forced to compensate and grow stronger, thus making your body more effective when performing other exercises and reducing your risk of injury.

Align A BodPostural Deviation Tool that allows us to Observe and Perfect Imperfect Posture from a non-moving position.  360 degrees of postural analysis allows comprehensive postural correction. Improper posture causes pain, headaches, inflexibility, poor blood flow, and can slow down progress!

The screening process we created is called The Functional Movement Screen (FMS). The FMS is made up of seven tests that look at fundamental movements. We use the word fundamental because these movements are not simply the foundation for athletic movements, they are the foundation for human movement.  We can see problems with limited mobility, asymmetries, or differences from right to left, top to bottom, front to back.  These types of limitations lead to poor efficiency, potential for injury and decreased performance.
