Swedish

Swedish massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, and circulation, while promoting health and well-being.  Our most popular massage, Swedish massage techniques involve long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration, effleurage, and shaking motions to help fully relax your body.

Deep Tissue

Besides feeling great and removing tension from your tired achy muscles, Deep Tissue Massage is beneficial to your health. Toxins built up in your muscles can be relaxed away by Deep Tissue massage, helping to loosen up muscle tissues and release toxins and get blood and oxygen circulating properly.  Deep Tissue massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  Deep Tissue massage aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

Shiatsu

Most people enjoy shiatsu massage as much as they enjoy deep tissue massage, but expect some differences. Shiatsu will involve deep breathing, rotating and stretching your joints, as well as manipulating pressure points. When these points are pressed, people describe the sensation as feeling tender, tickling, intense, or slightly uncomfortable, unlike anything else. After the massage, you may feel strange, but not sore as in a muscular tissue massage. Many believe Shiatsu is both preventative and healing, so getting it done on a regular basis, along with stretching, exercise, and a healthy diet, may improve your health.

Chair Massage

Stiff neck? Aching wrists or elbows? Shoulders that feel as if someone folded them up? If you spend all day at your desk you are likely to experience workplace fatigue. Chair massage counters the circulatory problems inherent with office work and gives you a break from that poor posture!  Sitting in a massage chair opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. Even 30 minutes of massage to the neck, back, arms and hands can increase circulation, returning energy levels and helping keep the body injury free.

Sports Massage

Each sport and athletic event uses muscle groups in a variety of different ways. The purpose of sports therapy or sports massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.  Improve your overall performance by enhancing your muscles ability to handle the stresses of your favorite sport!
